Every interaction creates a Ripple of information – a Block of the Instrument’s Blockchain. Regardless of framework (Love or Power), every Ripple permanently fuses with its co-creators – each actor directly involved in the event. In the beyond-life, Marketplace data acquired through trade is very different from personal recollections of these permanent, co-created Blocks, experienced either in the Spiral or Concert Hall, where the Instrument is the information’s source, and the level of the information’s quality initially reflects the individual’s connection to the Block’s formation.

Qualia is a thing’s unique characteristics, experienced directly through our sensory systems, say, the “redness” of a stop sign, or blaring note of a trumpet. From the tiny, simulated sound effect of a first-generation synthesizer, to a poor recording of a mediocre student, to the live performance of a virtuoso, the experience of a trumpet’s note might range widely in quality, depending on its medium and source. However the quality of identical qualia is experienced, the gestalt information remains the same – the sound of a trumpet’s middle-C. Similarly, in the beyond-life’s remembrances, qualia’s quality is determined by one’s orientation to the event’s creation. “Role Play” explores this orientation – how the experience of a play metaphorically illustrates the three levels of quality. A co-creator has a primary-direct experience – the star onstage; an influencer has a secondary-direct experience an audience member; and anyone who simply knows of the information’s existence is like a potential audience member with an indirect experience of the play.

For instance, if we tell our friend how much we loved a particular play, they might be inspired to attend – creating a “play at the theater” Block for our friend. In this case, our attachment to the Block, to the fact that they saw the play and enjoyed it, would be indirect. Now, if we buy them a ticket, and take them to the theater, our responsibility for the Block’s existence and our friend’s experience of the play would be secondary-direct. Of course, writing, casting, producing, staring in, and performing the play in, say, their backyard, would mean we are the primary-direct reason they not only saw the play, but more importantly, enjoyed it.

When we are a co-creator of a Block, we’ll have the fullest, possible experience of the event in the Concert Hall. In our Spiral – a native structure of Power – we’ll have the option of that total access, but equally, may choose to limit or even ignore the event altogether. Just as the Near-Death Experiencers had relived those painful moments from their wives’ first-person perspectives, in the Hall, we’ll relive every other co-creator’s perspective firsthand, as if it were our own, visceral, temporary reality. But it doesn’t stop there. Just as that Experiencer had continued within his wife’s reality, leaving his house after the initial abuse, he further experienced the knock-on effects of his actions – her disruptive interaction with the store clerk. Not only did he relive this from his wife’s point of view, but also the clerk’s. The Experiencer’s connection to the Ripple between his wife and himself was primary-direct, between his wife and the clerk, secondary-direct, and between the clerk and his wife, indirect. In this same way, should we influence another, and through our actions, spur the co-creation of a Block we do not directly participate in, we’ll still share in that reality, having some degree of responsibility for the Block’s formation. As we are a preceding cause, our experience of these “secondhand” Blocks varies depending on the degree of our effect, determining the level of “detail” (qualia) we’ll experience. The metaphorical difference ranges from, at the high-quality end where we directly influenced the Block existence, we’ll be hovering just over the play’s action from primer box seats, engrossed by each actors’ every sound and subtle gesture; at the low-quality end where we’re indirectly attached to the Block’s existence, we’ll be peering through opera glasses from the last row of balcony seats, squinting desperately to make sense of what’s happening onstage.

Information experienced through the Marketplace is, necessarily, acquired, not from the Instrument, but from another, as we do not trade for things we already own. Isolated in their Spirals, those of Power do not typically co-create information with each other, but instead, maintain total control of all data, only exposing themselves to that which is preferred, that which is acquired through trade. Like a passive audience member’s experience of a play is markedly different from the active performers onstage, so is the difference in experienced qualia between Marketplace (audience) and Hall (actor). Information Control means an awareness of and desire to fully experience an event will not increase quality on its own – a person of Power, in their Spiral, is limited to the quality of their initial relationship to the Block’s creation. To increase quality requires trading with those who possess such information. In the Spiral and Marketplace, the forceful, silent Instrument might only be consumed by those who already possess Its music, or possess information valuable enough to trade with another for Its music. However, with the right commodities, Marketplace trade grants access to an unlimited buffet of novelty – things one might never discover elsewhere, nor in any other fashion.

On the other hand, Love is Complete Information – not all possible information, regarding any particular Ripple, but all related information. In the Concert Hall, not every experience is primary-direct, and Signature-Frequency Sets might limit their experience of any Ripple’s qualia to their level of co-creation. However, they may also choose to increase it, say, metaphorically moving from outside the theater, to inside, to onstage. The Hall’s Complete Information means there are no limits, no barriers to information, whether one directly or indirectly co-created it. In the Hall, the intentional, vulnerable Instrument plays unfettered, Its music available for all to hear – one must only know of the information’s existence to gain a richer experience. With Complete Information, participation is limited only by one’s awareness of and interest in their network of Ripples.
